Vancity is opening a new community-focused branch at its headquarters in Vancouver's False Creek neighbourhood, bringing together everyday banking, local business, community gathering space and innovation in a reimagined member experience.
Opening later this fall at 183 Terminal Avenue, the new False Creek Community Branch is designed to be more than a traditional banking location. The space will provide everyday banking services while creating opportunities for connection, collaboration and community programming. The branch will feature flexible gathering areas, a community-focused event space, and a welcoming environment for members, local residents, businesses and community organizations.
A key feature of the new branch will be a partnership with Vancouver-based bakery and café To Live For, which will open its second location within the space.

Founded in Vancouver, To Live For has become known for its handcrafted pastries, thoughtful hospitality and strong connection to the local community. Its new location will provide a destination for members, neighbours and visitors to gather, work, meet and connect.
"We weren't looking to open another location but when Vancity approached us, it was something we couldn't turn down. They weren't just leasing out a retail space — they were building something for the neighbourhood, and they invited us to be part of it. The branch has been designed to support everyday banking while also serving as a hub for community connection and innovation. Alongside traditional banking services, the branch includes approximately 600 square feet of flexible gathering space, including a dedicated flex room and seating area that can accommodate community programming, collaboration and engagement activities. The space is designed to adapt to a variety of uses, with seating for about 20 people that can be expanded for larger events.
Visitors will also experience a digital art installation featuring original works from local artists inspired by False Creek and the surrounding neighbourhoods. The installation will be updated with other artists over time and is intended to create a distinctly local experience while celebrating the communities that make the area unique.
The new branch reflects Vancity's continued investment in creating spaces that support members while helping build healthy, inclusive and sustainable communities.
